Sarah Prescott Named 2025 FRS Scholarship Winner!

BEK Communications is proud to partner with the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), in cooperation with the NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, to offer students in our service areas the opportunity to apply for the annual FRS Scholarship Program.
This year, FRS received more than 2,000 applications and awarded only 50 scholarships to outstanding first-year college or vocational school students across rural America. FRS contributes $2,000 toward the scholarship, and BEK Communications Cooperative proudly covers the final $500 to help students take the next big step toward their dreams!
This year, we’re thrilled to announce that Sarah Prescott, a senior at the School of the Holy Family in Mandan, has been named one of this year’s FRS Scholarship recipients!
FRS says Sarah’s application truly stood out! Her submission showcased not only her impressive academic achievements but also her deep pride in her rural community.
Sarah plans to attend the University of Mary this Fall, majoring in Biology with a focus in Wildlife Conservation. We couldn’t be prouder to have Sarah representing BEK’s service area, and we can't wait to see all the incredible things she will accomplish!
