Explosive Documentary Airs on BEK TV

Film exposes dangers of carbon pipelines, taxpayer misuse, and threats to landowner rights across the Midwest

May 13, 2025

Bismarck - BEK TV is announcing the broadcast of the groundbreaking documentary, UNearthing the CO2 Pipeline, a powerful new film that dives deep into the controversial carbon pipeline projects spreading across the Midwest. This documentary, produced by The John Birch Society, highlights the growing concerns surrounding billion-dollar carbon dioxide pipelines, taxpayer funding, and the threat of eminent domain to landowners’ rights.

The 54-minute film will air on BEK TV on the following days and times:

  • May 14 – 4pm
  • May 16 – 5pm
  • May 17 – 8pm
  • May 19 – 5pm
  • May 21 – 8pm

UNearthing the CO2 Pipeline exposes how global interests are pushing carbon pipeline projects through rural America, often without landowner consent and with little regard for public safety. One scene in the film recounts a rupture in Mississippi that left an entire town choking for air, a harrowing example of what could happen elsewhere if concerns are ignored.

The addition of UNearthing the CO2 Pipeline builds upon BEK TV’s own investigative series, Capturing America’s Heartland: CO2 Pipeline, which aired 15 original reports over seven months in 2023 and 2024. That series focused on a proposed carbon pipeline route near residential Bismarck and examined safety risks, landowner resistance, and political implications tied to Agenda 2030.

“We are extremely grateful to BEK TV in airing this film,” says Rebecca Terrell, Senior Editor of The New American, a publication of The John Birch Society. “It’s important for people to find out about these projects and what they can do to protect their God-given rights and our nation’s food security.”

“At BEK TV, we believe in giving viewers the facts that mainstream media often ignores,” said Jordan Hassler, Chief Operating Officer of BEK TV. “Our team has been committed to bringing truth to light when it comes to the dangers, politics, and personal impact of the CO2 pipeline projects. This documentary is a natural continuation of that mission.”

“This is not just a Midwest issue,” says Terrell. “Carbon capture pipelines are coming to every state, as we know from the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2022 report announcing 96,000 miles of them to help reach Net Zero goals by 2050. Every American needs to be aware of the agenda behind these boondoggles, and their threat to our private property rights and food supply.”

BEK TV is one of the only locally-owned, non-corporate television broadcasting networks remaining in the country and produces more local content than any other television station in the Midwest. It broadcasts in North Dakota on over-the-air television and across the world via streaming on BEK TV+.
The concept behind BEK TV’s programming is to provide a media service platform that is unscripted and uncensored. The majority of BEK TV hosts are untrained broadcasters who share their perspectives and views on topics and issues that people are talking about. The BEK network never controls the messaging.
BEK TV is the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 winner of the Bismarck Tribune’s Best of the Best contest, selected by the people for “Best Local TV Station”. BEK TV host Lori Hinz is the winner of the 2024 “Best TV Personality” award. Both were chosen by the people.
